Using 1970s-1990s photos, music, and installation, this powerful exhibit explores the moment ordinary snapshots become historical document.Part tribute to her beloved father, Hugh McDonald, Abena Malika's exhibit UPWARD THROUGH THE NIGHT invites viewers to consider the extraordinary nature of ordinary life, and to look at the memories that shape their own histories.
